I wanted to drop you a quick note to explain what we mean when we say that Music Tech Fest is a ‘Magazine Format’ festival.
At the heart of the public #MTFStockholm festival (7-9 September) are our indepth interviews. We sit down on stage with fascinating and inspiring people and talk to them about their story, their journey, their work.
No panels, speeches, sales pitches, keynotes, TED talks or powerpoint presentations.
Instead: Conversations. Stories. Insights. Book launches. Film premieres. Discussions.
You’ll meet:
– Recording artist and blockchain innovator Imogen Heap;
– Pioneering internet researcher and author Nancy Baym;
– JAZZIZ founder and media visionary Michael Fagien;
– Opera and dance revolutionaries Carl and Åsa Unander-Scharin;
– Synaesthetic inventor and BBC presenter LJ Rich;
– Designer, musician and author Kim Bjørn;
– Ericsson innovation leader Matilda George;
– Electronic music and immersive sound pioneer Charlie Morrow;
– Prodigy biographer and academic Martin James;
– NASA scientist and instrument inventor Kelly Snook;
– and many more.
Like the best magazines, MTF Stockholm has different sections that you can flip between: Experience, Professionals, Family, Showcase, Innovation, Producers.
And in those sections, you’ll find features, demonstrations, live invention and immersive experiences – like the Jam Camp, Playground, Sparks, Hack Camp, Trackathon, Creative Labs, Installations, VIP area, Tekla, Meetups and Networking.
Hope you’ll join us for MTF Stockholm – in partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology, 7-9 September.
