Year two in the magnificent Osseghem park, next to the Atomium, this time from the 29th of June till the 1st of July. Just like last year the festival aims to focus on an all-encompassing festival experience, with plenty of surprising animations, hidden secrets, refreshing cocktails and the tastiest festival food in the country. And of course plenty of music!
On 4 different stages visitors discover the most exciting live-acts of the planet, performed by big stars as well as upcoming talent. They maintain the musical DNA the Brussels’ festival has been rooted in for 29 years, featuring the best reggae, soul, funk, hip hop, jazz, world and dance, with a strong focus on local talent. The previously announced acts fit this bill perfectly: Belgian big shots like rapper Damso and jazz queen Melanie De Biasio, jazz and reggae superstars Gregory Porter and Ziggy Marley, the fresh Swiss rap crew Makala, Di-Meh & Slimka and finally German reggae-pop sensation Milky Chance. Tank and the Bangas are the personification of their home town New Orleans; raw, hot and always in for a party. Their funky soul and hip hop music is by far the best way to kick-start your summer on Saturday June 30th.
Calypso Rose is a genuine Carribean powerhouse. For decades, the experienced singer has been the leading lady of calypso music; exotic dance music, powered by African drums. Adored by Manu Chao and Bob Marley, don’t miss out on her show, Sunday 1st of July at Couleur Café!
